Pay Me Back, Sam is a song about the relationship between Brazilian producer Chanice Paraíba and her British ex-fiance, Sam, who ended the engagement leaving her with a debt of £ 13,000. Upon being charged for the money he replied "I was a very costly mistake you made". With the collaboration of singer and composer Zaide Muller, the song also reflects the experience of the two friends as Latin American immigrants in London and the influence of Brazilian music in England, being a mix of MPB, Bossa Nova, Jazz and Neosoul. We're still waiting for Sam to pay his debt.
